We are on time

We are on time is a pilot and pioneer project in Spain that favors active participation in society in the practice of dance from an accessible point of view, and in particular, the inclusion of people with disabilities in public institutions.

The main objective of the project is to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities, through dance activities of an educational, social and artistic nature, inspired by the fundamentals of inclusive dance and accessibility as a fundamental means for anyone interested to actively participate. in social and cultural life.

With this objective, the following main activities will are out:

Inclusive dance workshops in public educational institutions

They are intended to bring inclusive dance closer to young audiences who are interested in directing their professional work within art, in such a way that capacitist concepts in art are deconstructed that promote more equitable, diverse and inclusive artistic processes.

Educational program for teachers in inclusive dance and diversity

Within the framework of the great challenges for education professionals is to promote inclusion in the classroom and it is also essential to offer training where art is another educational tool.

 

To this end, an intensive training program is proposed aimed at expanding fundamental knowledge about inclusive education, social inclusion and inclusive dance, rethinking cooperation strategies that promote educational inclusion and promoting processes that promote the recognition of dance as an inclusive educational tool.

Inclusive scenic creation laboratories

They intend to transform the ableism in performing arts trough creative processes with artist with and without disabilities, aso creating institutional alliances that favor the hiring of inclusive artists and companies in festivals and public scenic circuits.

Creations in 2022

  • "Time" with students of the profesional conservatory of dance of Albacete and ASPRONA. Premiere in Teatro Circo June 2022 in Albacete, Spain.

  • "Roads" Premiere in Segovia, Spain.

  • "Alma mía" participants of the Festival Proteatr, Moscu, Russia.

Conferences and presentations

Specialized in the main lines of postdoctoral research of the creator: the deconstruction of ableism in dance and the scenic transformation thanks to disabled artist from the 20th Century.
